Donations

If you are reading this web page we know that you are involved with turning and are very empathetic with our work in starting up and developing the Woodturning School. At the present time we are happily meeting, if not exceeding our enrollment and revenue projections, although we still foresee a several thousand dollar loss in calendar 2008. Unfortunately we are not a 501(c) 3 at this time. With that in mind, we’d like to present you an opportunity to support more than just one excellent cause with a single check.

If you wanted to make a donation and still receive an IRS credit, you could do so in either of two ways. The Atlantic Challenge and the Carpenter’s Boat Shop both 501(c) 3’s, are enrolling students here at the Woodturning School. A donation can be made to either. Your donation of $600 would send a student to our school for the 4 Core Courses and thus benefit the student, their organization, and the Woodturning School. Atlantic Challenge is sending us twelve students and Carpenter’s Boat Shop will be sending four to six. The check must carry on its face the words “Scholarship to Woodturning School”.
