Facilities

Our facility was built beside an estuarine pond coming off the Damariscotta River. The Swiss chalet style building was originally constructed as a cabinetry shop with office arrangements upstairs.

We’re blessed with eleven foot high ceilings that are surrounded by clerestory windows which let wonderful natural light cascade down into the studio. And the floors are easy-on-the-feet wood.

We have six Oneway 1640 lathes arrayed in a safety conscious configuration down one side of the spacious turning studio. And all of the work benches, sharpening stations, and miscellaneous tables rest against the opposite wall.

All of the lathe tools are in easily accessible racks beside each lathe. We have a sink, coffee maker and refrigerator for the convenience of our students.
