Instructors

Maine has produced some excellent woodturners over the years; and our faculty has been carefully selected from this pool of well-known and respected individuals.

Criteria for their selection as instructors included their knowledge, observable skills, patience and ability to communicate with and relate to established and aspiring woodturners alike. All of our instructors have been with us for at least three years and continue to be successful selling their work at local and nationally known galleries.

Most importantly, all are as good at teaching as they are at turning. And as such, with a student to teacher ratio at just three to one our students have the opportunity to take full advantage of what these talented folks bring to the table.

Guest Instructors

From time to time we’re able to arrange a special course of instruction on a topic for which we bring in a guest instructor. We do so because these individuals are recognized leaders on the subject and bring a level of skill and experience which may not otherwise be available.
