Turning wood has become Peter Asselyn’s passion. Wood has life and character and turning it becomes a bonding of two souls to create a new personality. Each piece becomes a new identity to be understood and nurtured. Like a rough diamond it must be studied before any cuts are made. I often look at a piece of wood for months before I understand where we are going. The completion of each piece creates a new friendship.
Peter is a member of the American Association of Woodturners and a past president of the Maine Woodturners.
