Rebecca’s strongest attribute for the Woodturning School is her unflappable and positive set of “people skills”. Hers is the real voice of the school.

Born in New Hope, PA she grew up within the world of education and education administration. Her father was a mathematics instructor and Assistant Headmaster of a respected local college preparatory school.

Upon graduation from the University of Vermont she began accumulating her pre-med prerequisites. But she began to lose her drive to become a doctor and confirmed for herself that practicing medicine was not her calling after working for 4 years as a Medical Assistant at Miles Medical Group in Damariscotta.

As often happens with bright attractive young women, she married. Her husband of course, is a Mainer. They have two very bright children and a household full of all the activities of family life ranging from swim meets, piano lessons, black Labrador puppies, homework and school outings to family get-togethers where she prepares Thanksgiving dinner on a vintage woodstove.

Her involvement with the Woodturning School began during the summer of 2004 and has grown dramatically ever since.
