The week-long “Turn to Success” course is an additional offering based on suggestions from former students. It includes the complete Intro 1 and Intro 2 curricula, along with a variety of projects and additional practice time. The fifth day may be the most valuable day of all as each class will be given the option to discuss and work on one or more of the following topics: more practice and review; sharpening practice; build a saw buck; and plan/design your shop layout.
At the completion of this one-week course the student will be able to confidently approach the lathe and succeed at turning mallets, bud vases, bowls, plates, candlesticks, goblets, bottle stoppers, tops and more.
All tools and supplies are provided. Woodturning, a Foundation Course, new edition is a strongly recommended text and is available at the Woodturning School for $25.
